She was born March 14, 1929 in Reading; she was the daughter of the late Elwood Bendel and Josephine (Dissinger) Bendel Weiss; and preceded in death by her husband, Arthur D. Viani and son-in-law, Michael T. Moore. Elayne was a beautician by trade. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Donald Viani (Brenda), James Viani (Deborah) and Thomas Viani; 2 daughters, Lanny Sharar (Steven) and Kathy Moore; 9 grandchildren, Daniel Sharar (Amy), Joseph Sharar, John Moore (Katie), Thomas Moore (Arely), Rebecca Small (Matt), Jesse, Cole, and Marie Viani and Brian Viani (Stephanie); 6 great-grandchildren, Maddie and Colin Sharar, Molly, Charlie and Abby Moore and Lexi Viani; a brother, Robert Weiss (Marsha); a sister, Deborah Krick (Doug); sister-in-law, Yolanda LeVan (Donald); and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
