Elayne Louise Viani

Elayne L. Viani, 89, of Camp Hill, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, surrounded by her family. She was born March 14, 1929 in Reading; she was the daughter of the late Elwood Bendel and Josephine (Dissinger) Bendel Weiss; and preceded in death by her husband, Arthur D. Viani and son-in-law, Michael T. Moore. Elayne was a beautician by trade. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill. She is survived by her 3 sons, Donald Viani (Brenda), James Viani (Deborah) and Thomas Viani; 2 daughters, Lanny Sharar (Steven) and Kathy Moore; 9 grandchildren, Daniel Sharar (Amy), Joseph Sharar, John Moore (Katie), Thomas Moore (Arely), Rebecca Small (Matt), Jesse, Cole, and Marie Viani and Brian Viani (Stephanie); 6 great-grandchildren, Maddie and Colin Sharar, Molly, Charlie and Abby Moore and Lexi Viani; a brother, Robert Weiss (Marsha); a sister, Deborah Krick (Doug); sister-in-law, Yolanda LeVan (Donald); and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Harrisburg, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way #270, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
