I loved working with Ellen in the NICU. She was always so patient and kind with new staff. She had an infectious laugh that made her a delight to work with.

I saw Ellen's obituary in the Suffolk Times and a flood of memories returned from our days as cheerleaders together at Southold High School. What a beautiful girl Ellen was and I can hear her giggle in my mind. I haven't seen her in more than 50 years but I sure do remember her sweet manner and wonderful personality. My condolences.... My deepest condolences to Ellen's family. She was always a sweet and kind person. I worked as her Unit Secretary in the NICU for 13 years. She took great pride in her work and special care of her tiny patients. She always had a smile on her face and was eager to give a helping hand were needed!!! She will be greatly missed my many.

Ellen married my cousin John Hornock. John and Ellen moved to Florida after John’s cancer diagnosis.
Ellen nursed Him for years until he passed. He often spoke of his love for Ellen and her gentle care for him.
Ellen is in “nurse heaven”.

I worked with Ellen in the NICU from 2000 until her retirement. She was a very caring and compassionate nurse who loved the babies in her care. So sorry for your loss.
