

She was born September 16, 1928, in Canonsburg, PA, to the late Adam and Veronica (Burr) Schimansky.
Florence was a loving mother, spouse and homemaker, a member of the Junker’s Antique Club of York Pa., former owner of Burke’s Antique Shop, a breeder of standard poodles, and former employee of the York Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends antiquing, visiting craft shops, dining out, and was an avid card player. She loved spending time at the beach, reading, watching old movies and taking day trips. The best of times were at family shore vacations and over the Christmas Holidays, spending time with her children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of Mechanicsburg and past member of the Holy Infant Church in York Haven. She attended Canonsburg High School, Canonsburg, PA.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Lawrence Burke (Dickie B), a son David Paul Burke, gone to soon, never forgotten and a great grandson, a little angel, Owen Thomas Burke. She is survived by an adoring family of four children and their spouses, Richard & Laura Burke of Chattanooga, TN, Steven & Rosemary Burke of Mechanicsburg, PA, Audrey & Nevin Raubenstine of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Heather Winter of Mechanicsburg, PA. She has 15 wonderful grandchildren, who loved her dearly, Julie & Cory Brisbin, David & Elisabeth Burke, Michael & Jen Burke, Meghan & Lenny Roberts, Stevie & Missy Burke, Brian & Cortney Raubenstine, Adam & Erin Raubenstine, Jessica Winter, Michael Winter and 11 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00am, on January 11th 2017 at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.
