

He was owner of Professional Communications Associates, Inc., Camp Hill, since 1989, prior to that he was assistant executive director for communications for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and founding editor of The Pennsylvania Lawyer magazine. He worked for the Harrisburg Patriot-News from 1963 through 1978 and was founding editor of its Metro West edition. He also worked as a reporter and editor for the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pa., and the Sharon Herald in Sharon, Pa., and was a U.S. Army veteran.
A native of Jessup, Pa., in Lackawanna County, he was the son of the late John and Helen Fanucci. He was a graduate of Jessup High School and Penn State University, and lived in Hampden Township, Cumberland County since 1971. A member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill, Fanucci was a former member of the Big 33 Scholarship Foundation’s board of directors, a former member and former president of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Nittany Lion Club, former president of the Harrisburg Newspaper Guild, a former board member of the 1492 Christopher Columbus Society and a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his sister, Beverly Palumbo and brother-in-law Sal Palumbo, of Peckville, Pa.; his son, Marc Fanucci and daughter-in-law Amie Fanucci of York, Pa.; his daughter, Cheryl Minniti and son-in-law Matt Minniti, of Mentor, Ohio; six grandchildren: Nicole, Vincent and Michael Minniti, of Mentor; Victoria, Abigale and Anthony Fanucci of York; a nephew, Dr. Sal Palumbo, of East Islip, NY and his godchild, James Baer, of Fairview Township, York County.
Viewing will be from 4-8PM Friday, October 30, 2015 from Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup PA.
