

George H. Bradney, 87, ended his earthly life to begin his eternal life on July 12, 2014. Born April 8, 1927 the proud son of the late George H. Bradney, Sr. and Mildred (Lawhead) Bradney, George grew up and lived in the Willow Grove area prior to moving to the Harrisburg area in the 1960’s.
George was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his service to country, and aided by the G.I. bill, George earned his degree from Temple University. He was employed by Aetna Insurance Company then retired after 33 years of service. George enjoyed traveling to countries around the world and much of the United States. He enjoyed playing Pinochle, Dominoes, Scrabble and various other games to keep his mind alert.
He was the oldest member of the Metropolitan Community Church of the Spirit.
George is survived by his son James Bradney and wife Joyce of Aurora, Colorado. George was preceded in death by his other son Richard in 1973. George had five siblings; two sisters, Dolores and her late husband William Tressidder of Warminster, and Mildred and husband Ted Deleone who reside in Willow Grove. Two brothers, Robert Bradney and wife Ramona live in Hatboro, and William Bradney with wife Marie reside in Lansdale. A third brother, Howard, preceded George. George had three grandchildren, Carolyn and husband Nick Murray live in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Timothy Bradney lives in Fort Collins, Colorado; and Steven Bradney with his wife Johnny call Duncannon home. George had four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Neill Funeral Home, Camp Hill on Saturday, July 19, 2014, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Lori Rivera. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Metropolitan Community Church of the Spirit in Harrisburg at 2973 Jefferson Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17110.
