Born on June 04, 1938 in Lebanon, PA to the late Ernest and Ruth (McCurdy) Edris.
Gerald graduated from Lebanon High School and Lebanon Valley College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1962. Upon return home, Gerald was employed by the Lebanon Chemical Corp, then moving to the Quaker Oats Co., in Shiremanstown, PA where he retired after 31 years of service.
Surviving Gerald is his loving wife, Diane Brodbeck; sons Steve and his wife Lynne Edris of North Mrytle Beach, SC, and Neil and his husband Charlie Edris of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Pamela Edris of Savannah, GA and Robert Edris and his wife Lara Ilsemann and great grandson Ace Edris, of Aachen, Germany. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen.
He is preceded in passing by his brothers, Paul and Earl Edris; and his sister, Sylvia Edris.
Gerald enjoyed an active lifestyle of sports, bicycling, traveling and working around the house.
A graveside service will take on Tuesday July 28, 2026 at 1:30pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery; Annville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
