April 16, 2020, in the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.
She was born October 25, 1927 in Vienna, Austria, daughter of the late Hermann and Maria
(Stephan) Feurschuss of Vienna, Austria.
Trudy (as she liked her friends to call her) was a dedicated and resourceful wife and mother. She loved working with her hands and constantly outdid herself taking care of her family.
Growing up in one of the most beautiful cities of Europe, and a European cultural center, she learned a lot about music, theater and art.
After marrying a medic in the U. S. Army, and coming to America, as she raised a daughter and son, she did her best to teach them good values.
In her younger years, she worked with her husband in little league baseball. In taking care of her home, she loved working in her flower garden. Working with her hands, besides cooking, she loved to crochet and knitted many covers for furniture in her home.
She enjoyed special times of the year, and looked forward to family activities, besides birthdays, in particular, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and patriotic holidays. These days had a very special meaning for her and she loved to see her family in school plays.
Living in the Jewish Home, her daughter and son-in-law joined her in their many activities, of which three favorite were bingo, concerts and modified bowling, respectively. She loved how they celebrated special times of the year.
Otherwise, as much as she could, she wanted her daughter and son-in-law to take her to her favorite place to visit Hershey. In the summer, she loved to watch people riding roller coasters. She tolerated the crowds all year to ride in “how chocolate candy is made” in Chocolate World”.
Having learned a lot about her Lord Jesus, she is at complete rest with Him and her predeceased husband, and she left her family QUITE a legacy … of love.
Preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Simpson, 2014.
Survived by her children: Eileen Tuckey (husband, David) of Enola, Daniel Simpson of Halifax
(wife, Carol), grandchildren: Lisa Buscay of Strasburg, Stephen (wife, Tanya) of Enola, Tania of
