Grace M. Catalano

Born on January 18, 1928 in York, PA daughter of Rosina Aquila and Cosimo Liberto. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Catalano, and her four sisters Christine Forte, Josephine Russo, Constance Cacciola and Angela Grimek; and three brothers, Anthony, Thomas, and Salvatore Liberto.

She is survived by her loving sister Rosina “ Zee “ Libasci and husband Al, her family that lovingly surrounded her, Angel Marfizo and husband, Bill; Joe Catalano and wife, Ann; John Catalano, and fiancé Jen Millard and Victoria Vokes. She was also blessed with 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Grace graduated from York Catholic High School and the Empire School of Beauty in York, PA. Grace enjoyed working with her family, while she was young at Liberto's Fruit Produce in York, PA and later in 1977 she and Vince opened Catalano’s Restaurant where she welcomed friends new and old for 30 years creating a place of lasting memories that will be shared by many. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, wrote for Harrisburg After Dark as well as the TV Host, one of the founders of the West Shore Players, dabbled in political life, played the piano, was blessed with a wonderful voice and led a dance like no other to New York, New York. Upon retirement she filled the air with her magic at LA Fitness attending Zumba, Yoga and Water Aerobics Classes. The opening of the Camp Hill Pool could not come early enough each year to partake in the laughter and scuttlebutt with all her friends.

Family and friends will gather at Good Shepherd for visitation from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016, followed by a Funeral Mass at 4 pm. A private family Indiantown Gap graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests, in lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA or Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 in Grace’s name.
