Helen M. Barnes

Helen Marie Barnes, 86, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on March 28, 2013. She was born on September 23, 1926 in Star Junction, PA to the late Mary and John Kimak. She was preceded in death by her two brothers and three sisters.

She graduated from Perry Township High School in Perryopolis, PA and the Thompson Business School. Helen retired as an executive secretary from Pomeroy’s Department Store after 30 years of service.

Helen was a member of the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and of its Dorcas Circles. Also was a member of Steadfast Chapter 479 of the Eastern Star and a member of the Grandettes and a member of the Camp Hill Woman’s Club. Helen was an avid golfer and a member of the Armitage Ladies Golf Association.

Surviving is her husband of 68 years, Harry H. Barnes; son, John E. Barnes and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth A. Barnes, both of Cypress, TX; three grandchildren, Amy Dunn of Wexford, PA and Chelsea Barnes and Andrew Barnes, both of Cypress, TX and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, 101 N. 23rd St. Camp Hill, with viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.

Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
