Hurshal E. Boyd

He was born November 9, 1920 in Seneca, NM, son of the late James and Noda (Smith) Boyd.

He was a graduate of Kansas State University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He also served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was a Soil conservationist with the US Department of Agriculture.

Hurshal was preceded in death by his wife Rosann Boyd in 2011.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen M. Boyd and Robert W. Boyd; daughters, Deborah K. Boone and Danette M. Hoffman; grandson, Jarrod E. Leo; granddaughters, Angela M. Leo, T.J. Boyd, and Stephanie Boyd-Wallace; great- grandson, Jonathan Boyd, and great- granddaughters, Julia Leo and Emma Leo.

Hurshal was an avid golfer, dedicated family man, and a terrific socializer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 6, 2017 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, with viewing one hour prior to mass. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
