Jim was the son of the late Dr. Michael and Helen Mermon. He was also predeceased by his sister, Jeanne.
A dedicated scholar, Jim graduated from LaSalle University and went on to earn his Master’s degree from Villanova University. He had a deep appreciation for the arts, literature, antiques, and the quiet joys of a well-lived life. He leaves behind many dear friends who will miss his thoughtful presence and steady companionship. Above all, he is survived by his cherished golden retriever, Garrick, who was his constant companion and source of joy.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue.
