Born in Lancaster, PA on November 8, 1934 to the late Frederick Kniley Worthington and Elizabeth Stuart Genn.
She is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Berkley C. Reid Sr.; son, Captain Frederick “Artie” Reid; daughter, Devona Jones; and her sister Joyce Elfreth.
Surviving Joan is her son Berkley C. Reid Jr. and his wife Sandy; grandchildren, Michael, Angela, Gregory, Matthew, A.J. and Cody; 7 great grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joan was a Gold Star Mother and would often participate in their local patriotic events and trips to Arlington National Cemetery. She was also a member of the VFW Lower Allen Auxiliary Post 7530.
Joan enjoyed reading, listening to music, sewing, knitting, eating out with friends and family, attending church services signing hymns and above all else her Boston Terriers.
A visitation will be held at 8:30 am on Friday July 11, 2025 at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Funeral services will take place at 9:30am, and burial will follow at Rolling Green Cemetery; 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
