

John Andon Nikoloff, age 74, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away on 10 January, 2025. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on December 13, 1950, the son of the late Method Nikoloff and Janet (Beinhauer) Nikoloff.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Jordan Nikoloff and her husband Alex Bouzykanov, of Fairfax Station, VA, and his amazing grandchildren Victor and Kendall Bouzykanov; his brother Rand (Allyson) Nikoloff of Grove City, PA, and his nephew Matt (Alexa) Nikoloff; and several cousins. John dearly loved his family, friends and politics, world travel, road trips, golf and constant learning/reading. One of John’s greatest personal accomplishments was traveling to all 50 U.S. states, more than two dozen countries, and visited almost all of the National Parks with his friends and family.
John was president and cofounder of ERG Partners, Pennsylvania Energy Resources Group, LLC, and Capital Associates, Inc., Harrisburg-based public affairs, lobbying and consulting firms. He worked more than 50 years on state and federal policy and was responsible for more than 100 laws and major legislative victories affecting health care, environment, agriculture and business issues. He was chief of staff and held executive positions under three Governors, and was a state media spokesman during and after the 1979 Three Mile Island accident. He served as executive director for five statewide nonprofit associations and negotiated the merger of two professional organizations representing internal medicine.
He was a founder of the Pennsylvania Association for Government Relations, the state’s professional lobbyists’ association, active in the American Lobbying Association and the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society, and Trustee/Treasurer of the Alpha Sigma Chapter House Association of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
John was a member and supporter of the following organizations: the Eighth Air Force Historical Society and the 466th Bomb Group Association, National WWII Museum, and the Yosemite Conservancy. He was a member of several civic and social organizations, including the American Legion Post 143; the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, which honored him as the 2024 Bruce Hanson Service Award recipient; and Der Harrisburg Maennerchor. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Lebanon Valley College, is an alumnus of Dickinson College and attended the US Air Force Academy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on 31 January, 2025 at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S 22nd St, Camp Hill, with visitation hours from 10-12, services to begin at 12.
