So very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Josh personally but him and Jacob were classmates with our girls. Our hearts break for your family. It is comforting to know of your faith in the Lord. May you find peace in knowing he is in a better place.... You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Claire, Sharon, Ashley, Adam, and Jake,

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for this tragic loss. It is heartbreaking. I just found out about this today, bc I was away since June 15th. My heart broke when Ashley told me. I remember watching Jake and Josh when they were 3 yrs old. (remember, they couldn't say the "J" sound yet, so they called me "Den" :) They were beautiful babies that grew into very handsome young men. I'm so, so sorry that you have to go through this pain and suffering. I hope it comforts all of you to know that Josh is in Heaven with the Lord now and he'll always be with all of you, especially Jake. I can't imagine how hard this is for all of you. I'll be praying everyday for you guys. My grandma and mom will be too. I hope that God comforts you in this time of need. Keep your head up Jake. Love you all <3

It is often easy to see God's plan, but not this time. May it comfort you to know that we don't always have to know the why, just that there is a plan and all is being played out exactly as it is meant to be, whether we understand it or not. As many have said, this is devastating for all, though not at all like it is for the parents or for Jake. If I could for one moment take one fraction of your pain away, I would. Know that there are so many people thinking of you and praying for you. You all are loved so very much. Jake, you are a fantastic guy, and you will never be separated from Josh. Remember that. As a former Crossroads teacher, you will always be in my heart.
