I was very happy to see my cousin Julie at the Slatt family get-together at the Croatian festival at Cibort Park last August. Thank you to my cousin Marlene and Christine's fiance Bill for talking with me about the get-together. Julie and I caught up and talked a lot about recipes. My thoughts are with you, Christine, Bill, and family. This picture of Julie, Marlene, and me was taken at last year's Croatian picnic.

So sorry to hear of my cousin's passing.
I remember both our mothers talking for hours on the phone.
I also remember, as a kid, visiting their homes in Bressler especially the one that our Grandfather lived in. Mayzie remembers working with Julie at J.C.Penneys many years ago when she and I were just dating. I last met her at a family gathering in Cibort Park at the Croatian festival.
We are currently out of town but Mayzie and I extend our sympathy to the entire family and hope that the memories of Julie, her parents, sister and brothers will carry the family through this difficult time.
