My son Kevin introduced me to Larry years ago, and I have enjoyed seeing Larry and family at the market ever since.  My day was always brightened after a brief chat with him- he always had a big smile and a good joke!  I will miss him, for sure. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Ken & Norma Bachman

Mere words can not express my feelings for the entire Shaffer family. Larry's parents, Art and Louise, were some of the kindest people here on earth. Larry was equally kind and sincere. I feel blessed to have known them. I think of them every time I drive past their home. Remember the good times and hold them close to your heart.

Larry is one of my favorite people from my time working at market. He was always quick with a smile and his laugh was contagious. He was quite a guy and I'm glad to have known him.

Sincere condolences to the Shaffer family. I remember working with Larry and the family at the Abattoir in 1977 when I was in High School. Larry was fun to work with and would always make us laugh. I had moved out of the area about 34 years ago but I still remember working that summer with Granny, Art Sr, Art and Larry at the Abattoir and the Farmers Markets. Nice folks, everyone. So sorry for your loss.

Woody and I were so sorry to hear the news about Larry. He was a great person and alot of fun to be around. He will be greatly missed by all.

I have known Larry and his family for many years.  My family shopped at the market and I have a friend that was a former employee of the market. Larry also shopped in the retail store where I am employed.  
Always had a smile for you and a kind word.  He will be sadly missed.  To Sandy and the family our prayers are with you that the void will be filled with memories
