Leslie Ann Reck

Born December 3, 1962 in Cheverly, Maryland to the late Richard W. and Margaret P. (Minnick) Reck, she grew up in Shippensburg and Camp Hill and graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1980.

She is preceded in passing by both her parents.

Surviving Leslie are her siblings, Richard W. Reck II and wife Carol of Williamstown, NJ, and Stacy L. Reck of Camp Hill, PA, as well as her niece Taylor Marie Schneider and husband, Skyler; nephews Cooper James and Hunter William; and great-nephews Silas Caleb and Avery James Schneider.

Though Leslie ultimately retired from PennDOT, she spent many years working as a bartender at many locations in the Harrisburg area including the Gingerbread Man of Mechanicsburg, Pete’s Café in New Cumberland, Sierra Madre in Camp Hill and Zembie’s in Harrisburg. It was at Zembie’s that she ended up gathering a bunch of like-minded football fans to watch the Washington Redskins each fall weekend. She was a die-hard fan having learned to root for the Redskins from her parents. In addition to the Redskins, her greatest passion was for her dogs—Jammer, Bailey, and Ginger—and of course, all her many friends.

A private memorial graveside service will take place at the Camp Hill Cemetery Columbarium. A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held as well—date and time to be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the SPCA.
