Mary Siket

She was the daughter of Irene (Carroll) and Fred Gates of Williamsport, PA. She was married to John M. Siket, Sr., for 51 years. She devoted most of twenties, thirties and forties to home making and mothering four children and then pursued a career as a claims auditor for 14 years with Blue Cross.

She emphasized to her children how important it was to be educated and keep learning throughout one’s life. On a lighter note, her family will not only be missing her but also her mouth watering apple pies.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Carroll (Siket) Freestone, wife of George A. Freestone, Wyomissing, PA, and Theresa (Siket) Raker, wife of Ronald Raker, Halifax, PA; and a son, John M. Siket, Jr. husband of Machelle (Shaffer) Siket, Pfuglerville, TX.She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her daughter, Christine (Siket) Risati, Sinking Spring, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 5, 2025, at 11:00am, with a viewing from 10:00am-11:00am at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church. Please wear something blue, Mary’s favorite color, to this Mass. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
