Peggy Lou Walmer
October 14, 1936 – October 21, 2019
Peggy Lou Walmer, 83, of Mechanicsburg, passed away October 21, 2019.
Peggy Walmer went to be with her precious Lord and Savior Monday, October 21, 2019. Peggy was the daughter of the late Hobart and Grace Acker. After graduating from John Harris, she married her best friend Emory Walmer Jr. and devoted her life to her family, friends and faith. She truly loved being a wife and mom to her 3 children Daryl, Dale and Deborah. When her children got older, she joined the workforce as a clerk for PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. She was a lover of all things but especially playing tennis, watching sports such as Penn State Football and Cumberland Valley High School basketball. She was a devoted grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 3. But, most of all, Peggy was God’s child and she loved her Savior first and foremost. She lived everyday pointing others to Him through her words, smiles and prayers. We are thankful for the promise from God’s word that we will be reunited in heaven again some day. “For by grace are ye saved through faith and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
She is survived by her children Daryl Walmer, Dale Walmer and Deborah Bilboe, her grandchildren Brittany Lukowsky, Jay Bixler, Nikki Wendal, Kaitlin Walmer, and her great grandchildren Madi, Austin and Gavin Wendal. She is also survived by her sister Grace Cover and her brother Hobart Acker.
Her Homegoing Service will be held at Graceway Church of God, 220 St. John’s Church Rd., Camp Hill on Saturday, October 26th. Viewing will be at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM. The burial will be at the Rolling Green Memorial Park immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the missionary fund at Graceway Church of God or a missionary of your choice.
