Born on March 27, 1948 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Penny was the daughter of Anna Mae (Schweitzer) and Louis Fuko, and raised in Hellertown, Pennsylvania. Penny is survived by her son Christopher and his wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Alexander and Reagan; her three younger sisters, Luana Rabbett, Priscilla Straka, Elayna Richards, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Penny attended Wolf Grade School, and graduated from Hellertown Lower Saucon High School. Following graduation in 1966, she was employed as a librarian at Lehigh University, and later by the Bethlehem Steel Company. After marriage she moved to the Harrisburg area where she worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until her retirement in 2003.
Penny was an avid reader, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and the occasional fancy cocktail shared with friends and family. She adored spending time doting on her grandchildren, creating scavenger hunts, building large Lego towers, and watching Home Alone for the 100th time. Above all, Penny will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and her unwavering willingness to help those she loved.
A viewing will be held at Neill Funeral home, 3401 Market St, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 23 from 10:00-11:30am with funeral services to begin at 11:30am.
