Born on May 15, 1931 in Middleburg, PA to the late James and Stella Mae (Steffen) Bolig.
He is preceded in passing by his son Michael Bolig; brother, John Henry Bolig and sister, Fay Burkhart.
Surviving Bob is his loving wife of 68 years Annabelle (Garman) Bolig; his children, Tracy (Jim) Gavin, Bradley (Jill) Bolig, Brenda (Scott) Swearingen, and Brian Bolig; grandchildren, Erik, Amanda and Katy Gavin, Erin Shearer, Kara Swearingen, Ashley, Jamie, Brittany and Kristen Bolig; great grandson Alex Henry; and his sister Pat Smith.
Bob graduated from Middleburg High School, Middleburg, PA. Started his Federal service at Olmsted Air Force Base and retired after working 34 years as a computer programmer (supervisor) with U.S. Army Security Affairs Command, New Cumberland Army Depot. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and pheasant and who liked to go fishing, sometimes traveling to Canada to go fishing with Annabelle. He loved watching Penn State and Phillies games and had even tried out for the St. Louis Cardinals prior to enlisting with the Air Force.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 5th, from 10:00-11:00am at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am. Burial will be the following day, Thursday November 6, at 11:30am, at Richfield Union Cemetery on Market Street in Richfield, PA.
