I was a kid in Ridgewood NJ when Royce was on recruiting duty. He allowed me to hang out at the recruiting station. Memories include borrowing a full pressure suit on a mannikin to take to school for a Jr. Science project, riding with him in an Air Force truck during the 4th of July parade and watching a bunch of 16 mm USAF films. I lost contact with him after I graduated from HS and eventually joined the Marine Corps. Semper Fi Royce.

My brother, Tom, just told me that my cousin Harry Worthington had passed away. I went on the internet to contact Roy and was saddened to find his obituary. I now live in Suwanee, GA (Atlanta) and I am unable to attend Roy's funeral on Thursday. I have called my brother and ill health will prevent him from representing our family as well. Our mother, Marie Betz Galloway, was our Aunt Gert's sister. Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss. I have been doing genealogy research and would like to share what I have on the Worthington families. Please contact me. I am two months older than Roy and we grew up together in Philadelphia until we both left to enter the service. I am retired Air Force as well.
