Ruth Sylvia Evans

Ruth was born August 13, 1933 in Bellefonte, PA to the late Ruth and Gilbert Butler. On May 5, 1956 she married Oliver Evans, who preceded her in death in 2018.

Ruth was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing. She dedicated her life to caring for others through her roles in nursing, in parenthood, and with neighbors and friends. She exemplified the true meaning of servant leader.

She is survived by her children Craig (Cheryl) , Roger (Angela) and Barbara (Pete). She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Jamie, Kaitlyn, Stephanie and Brian (Kathryn) and great grandmother to Caden.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 12:30pm.

Memorial contributions may be given to Chapel Pointe Senior Living in Carlisle, PA.
