Shaun M. Johnston

He was born in Cheverly, MD, the son of Michael Joseph Mahoney and Jody S. Johnston.

Shaun graduated Cumberland Valley High School class of 2008 as a member of the National Honor Society, and attended University of Pittsburgh double majoring in Music and Psychology while achieving the Dean’s list. As member of the Pittsburgh Jazz Ensemble he traveled to Jamaica twice as part of their education and outreach program.

He was employed as Operations Manager for Sizewise after receiving a promotion within his first three months of employment.

As a youth he enjoyed swimming and sports such as Rugby and snowboarding, but he found his true passion as he grew older in music and the arts. He was often engaged in creating music while inspiring those around him, or could be found with a close group of friends playing various strategy games. His major influence can be found in the numbers of young Diabetic campers who attended Camp Setebaid/Harrisburg Diabetic Youth Camp (HDYC) where he was a camper/counselor.

He is survived by his mother, Jody S. Johnston, of Mechanicsburg PA, brother, Justin Johnston, of Arlington, VA, Grandmother, Sara Johnston, of Greenbelt, MD, Grandparents, Michael and Elaine Mahoney of Annapolis, MD and a large extended family.

Viewing will be February 21, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7- 9 PM with a service at 8:30PM at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, PA.

Burial will be private at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
