It has taken me some time to respond to Tom's passing.  We were married for just shy of 32 years before divorcing in 2016.  I only wanted for him to be happy and healthy.  The past few days have triggered a few memories that have made me chuckle.  Tom could always make me laugh at the most inopportune times and had some very fine qualities.  Today I had taken the first car bought on my own to the dealer for a silent recall service.  I was reminded of the day (almost the same date as his death) in July 2017 where he took me to many dealers to purchase a car.  I had decided on one but waited the afternoon to be sure.  When we returned to the dealer later in the day, Tom suggested I sit in the Kia Soul as it was as he would say, "selling like hot cakes" and had very good reviews.  I loved it as soon as I sat in it.  It was easy to get into with badly arthritic knees and a bad back. It was the only one left on the lot and silver-which was a color I had many times.  I have never regretted the purchase.  Thank you Tom for steering me in the right direction.  Pun intended! 
RIP Tom and say hi and tell the fur babies, winged creatures and assorted fish that I still love and think about them all the time.  They gave this childless couple much joy.
Your ashes will be back in Philadelphia as soon as possible, so you will be returning back home as you would have liked.  You were always a Philly boy!

Tom was great fun to talk to. I loved hearing his stories about the crazy things that happened on his job. And he loved  his dogs. Rest in peace, Tom.

Goodbye Tom.  Although Tom was about 2 years older than me he was my Uncle.  He lived on Englewood Street in Northeast Philadelphia.  Went to St. Matthew's grade school and graduated from Father Judge High School.  He was retired from the City of Philadelphia and worked at Philadelphia International Airport.
He had a big interest in music, especially Bob Dylan, car mechanics and photography.
He relocated, with his wife Maryanne, to Mechanicsburg, PA.

Tom was a good uncle who helped instill a passion for technology and photography in me. He'll be missed but is enjoying  his time with his dogs once again.
