Vera E. Smith, 87, of Camp Hill, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born October 3, 1924 in Boiling Springs, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lutz Diller and Elizabeth (Kitner) Diller; preceded in death by her husband, Byron E. Smith; and her sister, Joyce Buckhite.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse from the Carlisle Hospital and the Claremont Home; and a former employee of KinderCare Learning Center of Camp Hill.
She is survived by her son, Warren R. Castaneira, of Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren, Allyson Hubler and Ryan Castaneira; sister, June Welsh, of Florida; and a neice, Betty Buckhite, of Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St., Camp Hill. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held 11:00 AM to time of the service.
