

In loving memory of Virginia (Ginny) Walter who passed away on May 28, 2026. She was born on September 27, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA. Ginny was the daughter of the late William and Hilda (Kirsten) Gross. She graduated as Salutatorian from Middletown High School.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, John Walter; her sister-in-law Virginia Gross and sister-in-law Victoria Raffetto; her nephews/nieces--Thomas and Laurie Orser, Brian and Amy Gross, Daniel and Sarah Hatfield; as well as many great nephews/nieces. She also leaves behind her cats Romeo and Esme, whom she cherished. Ginny was a serial adopter of many cats, as well a dog.
Ginny worked at Merrill Lynch for many years as a Senior Financial Analyst and was Vice President of the Harrisburg branch. During her free time, she loved playing tennis and golf. She was head of the Nine Holer’s club at West Shore Country Club. She also had the opportunity to travel the world; Costa Rica was one of her favorite places to travel. Ginny had many friends whom she cherished. Tracey was always her best friend and tennis partner and Ginny spent many years having dinner with close friends Tracey and Ron, Elaine and Jim, and Wayne and Sheryl.
Ginny was such a positive, uplifting person and always had a smile on her face. She would do whatever was needed to help someone out and was always such a joy to be around. We are so grateful for her and the influence she had on all of us. We will miss her very much.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her brother, William R. Gross.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 9th at 11:00AM at Ft. Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania, 17003-9618.
