He was born July 12, 1932 in Sunbury, son of the late Jacob and Nora (Dyer) Dietz. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service, prior to retirement he was employed at the New Cumberland Army Depot and Home Depot, Mechanicsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Dietz, of Mechanicsburg, daughter, Lana Dietz, of Mechanicsburg, son, Walter M. Dietz, his wife Joanne (Karli) Dietz, of Benton and two grandchildren Derek and Trevor Dietz.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with Military Honors.
