I just found out about Mr Ennis. I am so saddened. He was my teacher and inspired me to play an instrument I loved and taught me with great patience. Altho I do remember the middle school band frustrating him so badly at times he'd throw his wand across the room :) He will be missed but never forgotten

'Mr. Ennis' shared his passion for music and performance with me and the rest of his students, and helped foster that passion in all of us. He allowed us to use the band room as a second home at school, and the musicians there became a sort of second family. Along the way, I learned life lessons about dedication to a craft and gained the confidence to help me 'come out of my shell,' as my parents/band parents (Marilou and Eddie Colunga) have often said. I owe much of my successes to many great mentors in my life, and Bill is certainly up there. My thoughts are with his family and with those 'extended members' who are surely missing him.
