Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Christopher Toner, daughter Carrie Stockburn and granddaughter Sophie Stockburn, her sisters Lola Hamilton and Susan Mehmet, her in-laws Cheryl Hayes, Brian and Stephen Toner and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Hugh McPhee and her mother Mary McPhee
Cindy was born on June 24, 1958 in Toronto Ontario. She moved to Thompson MB in the 70’s where she was married and had a beautiful little girl, Carrie. Cindy lived in Thompson for many years and worked in the airline field as a maintenance records clerk. Cindy loved to work around all the small aircraft that flew around northern Manitoba. In 2009 after her husband retired they moved to Black Creek BC. Within a short time she began her career with the Black Creek Farm and Feed up until June of 2022. Cindy enjoyed her work immensely especially all the customers that came into the store and the staff who she worked with. Cindy considered the staff like her second family.
Cindy was an avid animal LOVER and could not see any animals go without. She even adopted Amber the stray cat at the store and loved her like her own. Cindy leaves behind her 2 dogs Rosie and Oakley. We know that she is reunited with all her puppies and enjoying walks and cuddles with them all.
Cindy will be missed greatly by all those who have met her over the years. In lieu of flowers a donation to your local animal shelter would be welcomed.
…Until We Meet Again
Those special memories of you
will always bring a smile
if only I could have you back
for just a little while
Then we could sit and talk again
just like we used to do
you always meant so very much
and always will do too
The fact that you’re no longer here
will always cause me pain
but you’re forever in my heart
until we meet again
