Don was born on a farm in Saskatchewan and went on to farm with his young family in Alberta in the early seventies, then went ranching in BC in the early eighties and then finally Don and Lorraine went long haul trucking out of Edmonton until his retirement in Campbell River, BC.
In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, hiking on the many trails in the area.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Lorraine, son Stuart & daughter-in-law Lianne, their children Melissa and Matthew. Don's son Michael predeceased him but his wife Lynda and Michael's three children Dylan, Vincent and Dawn will miss him greatly. Don had eight great grandchildren that he truly loved.
Lorraine would like to thank the team of great care givers that assisted us in his care.
A special thank you to Father Jan for his spiritual help and guidance.
