Jim was born in Vancouver and he moved to Squirrel Cove, Cortes Island with his mom and dad when he was 9.
He loved the water and spent many hours on various boats throughout his life.
Jim worked on fish packers and in log booming but most of his life he was a heavy equipment operator. He worked many years at Raven Lumber sawmill and retired from A Wood Bulldozing. He ran their quarry on General Hill as his final years of employment.
Jim will be greatly missed by Sheila, his wife of 35 years, his daughter, Teresa Beaulieu of Victoria and his step daughter, Corrina Hellens (Mark) of Vancouver.
As per Jim’s wishes, there will be no service. His ashes will be spread on Cortes Island next to his mom and dad.
