With heavy hearts, we say “see you later” to Maury “Moe” Davis, cherished son, brother, dad, GG, Grandpa Mop Head and Papa. Moe gracefully departed from this world on April 7, 2024. His journey began on February 2, 1952 in Comox BC where he was welcomed into this world by his parents Maurice Davis and Margaret Pritchard. He now reunites with them and his brother John, sister Margaret and wife Bernadine Dan, who have gone before him. Left to cherish Moe’s memory are his devoted wife Donna Davis and loving daughter’s Tricia Bellmore (Dan) {Aaron}, sons Vincent, Aiden, Linden and Nikki Lewis (Dan) {Tyler}, sons Liam and Jacob, sisters Kathi {Ritchey} and Janey and brother Leslie.
Moe’s many experiences took him from Courtenay to Vancouver and Roberts Creek before settling into Squamish in ‘64. Throughout his youth, he found comfort and joy in playing the drums, a passion that continued to resonate with him until his final days. Following his father’s footsteps he ventured into logging. In 1989 Moe embarked on a new journey, moving his young family to Black Creek BC. Continuing his life in logging, later transitioned to owning and operating his own landscaping and construction company. Moe was resilient, determined and a dedicated dad.
Moe touched countless hearts with his unwavering positivity and his ability to find light in even the darkest of moments. His quick wit and playful banter were as much a part of him as his love for music. Whether he was sharing a joke or beating to his drums, his zest for life was infectious, leaving a lasting impression with all who knew him. His memory will continue to live on through the cherished moments we shared.
As we grieve the loss of our dear Moe, we find solace in knowing his spirit lives on in the love and laughter he shared with us. May his gentle soul find eternal peace, comforted by the echoes of music and loving memories he leaves behind. Until we are reunited again Dad, may the melody of your spirit resonate in every music note bringing warmth to all that hear it.
In memory of Moe’s compassionate spirit, in lieu of gifts or flowers, the family kindly request donations to Kitty Cat Pals, a dedicated team to providing quality care and finding forever homes to lost kittens.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer months amidst the beauty of nature and the joy of music, echoing the essence of his spirit.
“Another angel has got his wings, fly high my love” - from your loving wife.
We love and miss you Dad.
