Robert Hugh Kerr

Anne, James and Jena, and Philip and Richard sadly announce Robert’s death on 3rd August 2024. A person of deep faith in God, with a profound love of the Church, he treasured his family and all that they shared together in his life in which he felt well blessed.

An ordained Presbyterian Minister, Robert served congregations in Edinburgh, Scotland, St. Catharines, Ontario, and Parksville, B.C. and then moved to Campbell River in 2020 for retirement.

In his leisure time he enjoyed the company of family and good friends, and also cars and motor racing, travel, walking, reading and kayaking - not all at the same time!

Many thanks to Dr. Attwell in Victoria, Dr. Kulla in Nanaimo, and particular thanks to Dr. McClure in Parksville for his exemplary care. Thanks also, in Campbell River, to Dr. Prinsloo, and especially Drs. Morrison and Hunter, and the amazing women in Cancer Care, and Shauna and Jeanna in the Palliative team.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 145 Simms Road, Campbell River, B.C. on August 31, 2024 at 11.00am. The service will be available by Zoom for those not able to attend the service in person. Please email the church at [email protected] to request a link. If you are attending the service from out of town, please email the church so we can have an idea of numbers for the luncheon.

Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the work of Presbyterian World Service and Development, the relief and development agency of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
