Susan Margaret Dalley

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Margaret Dalley of Campbell River, BC, whom passed away at the age of 75 with family by her side on May 10, 2026.

Susan will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ernie; children: Shawna and Anita; grandchildren: Jordan, Brayden, Kylee, Gabby and Logan; her mother, Shirley; siblings: Marie, Ron, Alison and Kerry; sister-in-laws: Marie, Sandra and Brenda. Also dearly missed by her friends at Coffee Club and Rock Bay.

She is predeceased by her father, William Leech.

Born in Victoria, BC, Susan spent 17 years there and then, with her family, moved to Campbell River, BC. After high school, she joined the Air Force and while in service, she met and married her husband and best friend of 55 plus years. They began their life together in Nova Scotia, then moved to Campbell River, BC to raise a family rooted in fishing, hunting and camping. Always on the move in retirement, Susan, with Ernie, toured North America in their RV leading them multiple times to Newfoundland, Mexico, Arizona, Alberta and the Yukon. Remembered as an avid card player, knitter and crocheter extraordinaire, savvy telephone operator, skilled hunting and fishing partner, loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, caring daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Susan will be remembered with having a kind and feisty heart, helpful hand and a joyfully boisterous laugh.

Donations to the Heart and Lung Association gratefully accepted in Susan’s name.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for late Summer 2026.
