Mrs. Berthe Caissie-Gallant, of the Campbellton Village Nursing Home and formerly of Atholville, 92, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Friday, December 3, 2010. She was the wife of the late Camille Gallant and the daughter of the late Lydia (nee: LeBlanc) and the late Fabien Caissie.
She will be sadly missed by 3 daughters: Françoise Gallant (Gerry) of Atholville, Pierrette Cloutier (Luc Choinière) of Cowansville, Qc. & Monique Théroux (Bruce) of Edmonton, Alberta; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Carmen Johnson (late Gordon) of Tide Head, Georgette Roy (late Albert) of Atholville & Fabie LeBlanc (late Claude) of Balmoral and several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered fondly by many friends.
She was predeceased by 4 sons: Jean-Guy (late Aline), Philippe (Esther), Laurent & Gilles; 1 daughter Lina Parker (late Ronny); 3 grandchildren: Kathy, Ricky & Alain and by some sisters & brothers.
The funeral mass was held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish, Atholville, officiated by Father Claude Benoit with burial in the parish cemetery.
