

Bill was born on November 30, 1935, in Oak Bay, QC to the late Eva (Ferguson) Geraghty and the late Arthur Geraghty.
He is survived by his loving wife Anita, his children; Mark (Simonne) Geraghty, Lorraine (Jeff) Delaney, Charles (Tanya) Geraghty and Karen (Kevin) Hachey, his brothers; Laurie (Shelley) Geraghty, George (Corrine) Geraghty, his sister Suzie (Mike) Woods and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by Ronald (Dolores) Geraghty, Thomas Geraghty,
Arthur (Marie) Geraghty, Marie (Claude) Amesse, Raymond Geraghty, Howard (Peggy) Geraghty, Irene (Ronald) Mahoney, Daniel Geraghty and Karen Geraghty Mahoney.
He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Mackenzie (Felicia), Hannah, William, Laura, Noah, Caitlin and Shawn, all of whom brought him immense joy.
Bill worked as land surveyor in the Bathurst area for a brief period before landing a job as a Purchaser for the Hotel Dieu Hospital. His longest career was at the School District where he dedicated 35 years as a Purchaser and Officer of Transportation.
Beyond his professional life, he was deeply involved in the community, volunteering his time with several organizations and serving several terms as Grand Council in UCT and as a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and all living things. An avid gardener, William took great pride in his large summer gardens, generously sharing his harvest with family and friends. He also enjoyed photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him.
Bill was known for his kindness, generosity and warm spirit. He touched the lives of many and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence in the community will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
A Funeral Mass for Bill will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on Friday May 8, 2025, at 11:00 am.
Visitations will be held at Savoie’s Funeral Home in Campbellton on Friday May 8 at 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
For those who wish, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory.
