

Antonio Nuestro Amon (Tony), 84, of West Hills, California, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. He was born in Cavite, Philippines on May 3, 1941 to Juan Garcia Amon and Asuncion Arevalo Nuestro.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Ofelia Vita Amon, his children Bertram; Daryl and husband Paul; Pamela and husband Jim; Angelica and husband Hal, his grandchildren Jasmine, Jenny, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Rae, Julianna, Hendrix, Charlie and Bowie; his great grandchildren, Easton, Emelia, Everett and Elliott, his sister Rosalinda and husband Erdulfo; and niece Erline, and his sister Primitiva and husband Leonardo; and nephews Maynard and Omar and niece Nerissa.
Tony was a devoted husband, constantly by Ofelia’s side. Whether going to gatherings or just having a simple dinner out, they were always together. As a father, he was always stern but also very loving. His children respected him and knew they could rely on him. Tony doted on his grandchildren. They knew him as jovial and as having a positive outlook in life. He always had kind and uplifting words. He loved being with his family and was always inquisitive about how they were doing in their lives .
He attended Far Eastern University in the Philippines where he studied Mechanical Engineering. At FEU, he joined Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. Through this organization is where he met his wife Ofelia.
In 1981, he and Ofelia took their family to the United States, where they raised the big family that they have now. His sister and his brother-in-law, Rosalinda and Erdulfo were a big help as the family started their new journey. Life had its ups and downs, but they were happy.
