

Bernard H. Marrington, age 93, of Woodland Hills, California, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born November 9, 1928, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Fred Marrington and Constance Hall Marrington.
Bernard celebrated a career of more than 30 years in the automotive industry. He was recognized for many noteworthy accomplishments, in leadership, and prominence in his field. His career in the automotive industry took him to W&L of La Mesa and then to PPG Industries Inc. He also worked as a consultant for the Los Angeles Unified School District and the South Coast Air Quality Management District. He served on the Advisory Committee of the Southern California Regional Occupational Center and as a member of the Ford Arbitration Board at the University of Wisconsin. The recipient of several honors and accolades throughout his career, he notably received an Award for Outstanding Community Support from the Southern California Regional Occupational Center.
Having been born in Canada, he served in World War II as a Canadian Naval Cadet from 1943 to 1945 on the HMCS Captain Vancouver and the HMCS Malisapena. He earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing management from Pacific Western University. He also attended Bethany College in West Virginia and the University of Pittsburgh. He married Patricia Grace Hall in 1953 and is the father of Stacey Lee Marrington and Jodie Lynn Widaseck. In his leisure time, Bernard enjoyed rose gardening, citrus culture, golf, ocean sailing, and classical music. He was an active member of the Ventura Yacht Club.
A private interment will take place at Capilano View Cemetery in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
