My memories of Bruce were of many years back (1978) when he gave my campaign for the State Assembly all-out support as Director of the Van Nuys Chamber of Comerce. Over the years we remained good friends and often crossed paths at community events. In 1991 as Encino Chamber of Commerce President, I asked Bruce to act as Facilitator for the Chamber Retreat we held on the Boeckmann Yacht, the Honor Bright. As always, Bruce was pleased to help in any way he could and we counted that day a success because of his special leadership qualities. Later, my husband and I attended meetings of the Economic Alliance which he chaired. Unfortunately due to Larry's decline in health with Alzheimer's disease, we had to discontinue our participation. I've heard countless words to describe this very special man. None can really due justice to this multi-faceted community leader who gave so much to the San Fernando Valley and to the people in so many helpful ways. Those of us who knew him were truly blessed by his presence on this earth. He will be sorely missed.

Bruce was one of my all time favorites. As a former chamber executive, I have come into contact with thousands of people over the years and Bruce was one of the best. He was highly regarded as a non profit professional. But more importantly, he was a mentor, friend and someone I could always count on for guidance. I'm a better person because of Bruce.
