Domenic, also known as “D.R.”, was born May 15, 1936 to Thomas and Sarah Romeo, in New York City. He was the youngest of six siblings; Paul, Anna Dulcebella, Johnny, Juliet, and Helen, whom he deeply loved and admired.
The Romeo family moved to Hollywood, California when Domenic was in elementary school. He later went on to graduate from Hollywood High School in 1954. Domenic also enjoyed “frat life” with friends such as, Bob Wisser, at Woodbury University in Burbank, California.
It was during the 1950's that Domenic entered into his lifelong patriotism from his time spent in the United States Army at Ft. Sill, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
The 60's and 70's kept him busy with his four small children, performing such duties as leading the Hollywood Christmas Parade as Jesus Christ! Furthermore, he and his wife, Peggy, enjoyed spending time in Hawaii, going to Catalina Island for anniversaries, traveling with friends such as the Wissors, and Ron and Sue Loynds. Domenic and Peggy especially enjoyed sitting in the stadium at Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
In the early 1980's until present day, Domenic established and was profoundly dedicated to his business, Starwest, Inc. He was also the producer of the infamous Harley Davidson Dreamgirls Calendar. Each day he looked forward to working alongside his son and President of Starwest, Chris Learn, on this ardent and industrious endeavor.
During his recent years, you could find him and Peggy spending time and going to events with family and friends. They enjoyed having brunch or dinner with Chris and Misty and watching movies with Ken and Margo. Furthermore, he rarely missed an opportunity to support “The Fighting Irish” Notre Dame Football Team!
Domenic Romeo is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Paul, Steven and Maricela, Domenic and Kaylee, Donica, and Chris and Misty. He is also survived by many grandchildren: Brian, Reagan and Geoffrey, Chrissie and Joshua, Emma, Nicholas, Natalie, Brittany and Gabe, and Lindsay. Great-grandchildren include Ellis, Valen, Gracie and Gannon. He has many nieces, nephews, and cousins who belong to his beloved siblings, Johnny, Juliet, and Helen.
