I just heard the news.  I'm tremendously saddened by this.  Elliot and I were good friends for many years.  I house sat in his house while he was living in Chicago in the late 80's.   We became roommates for awhile when he got back to LA.  I soon got my own apartment down the hill in Beverly Hills and we remained friends throughout the years getting together on a regular basis to catch up.  

I had recently called him, now I sadly know why he hasn't called me back.  

He was full of great advice and I can honestly say, without his advice I would not have achieved the successes I have. 

He will be truly missed.
And may a telephone pole never block his view from his window.

I have lost one of the sweetest people I have ever known.  He was like a big brother to me.  He loved playing bridge and at the table he was always moving his arms and legs and tapping his feet which made me giggle. He loved reading about bridge and I didn't.  I would tell him if his library ever caught fire it was me!  He was always dressed VERY casual and his wonderful girl friend, April Rimer of many years and I used to tell him how old his clothes were even though April bought new ones for him.  She said some of his shirts were so old the she wouldn't even wash her car with them.

Elliott, I guess G-D needed you more then we did but I am still so sad because I needed you too.  Rest well my beloved friend and I know I will see you again.
