

George Martin Horrigan, 76, passed away on May 24, 2016 in West Hills, California. He was born on August 3rd, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Marion (Flay) Horrigan.
George grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from St. Ignatius Jesuit High School, in 1957. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1959, and completed his basic training in Cape May, NJ, in 1960. George later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, in 1968, from John Carroll University, in University Heights, Ohio.
George spent most of his career in Marketing and Business Trade Publishing with Penton Publishing Co., Cleveland, Ohio. In 1988, he achieved the role of Vice President, Operations, Western Region, in Encino, California. George retired from Penton in 1998.
George married Patricia in 1977 in Columbus, Ohio. They were happily married for 39 years.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marion Horrigan, and his brothers, Daniel Horrigan and Robert Horrigan.
George is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (Patty) of West Hills, CA.; his children, George Horrigan, of Rochester, MI.; Michael Horrigan, and his wife, Monique, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Kelly McNally, and her husband, Kevin, of Rochester, MI. He was the adored grandfather to Jack McNally, of Rochester, MI. George was also survived by his sister Elizabeth Ireland and her husband Fritz, his niece, Lauren Ireland, and nephew, Jonathan Horrigan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July, 9th, (11:00am to 1:00pm) in Cleveland, Ohio. The service will take place on Lake Erie, aboard ‘the Holiday’ (charter), located at 1800 Scranton Rd. Family and friends are welcome.
