Joe Leon Conant passed away on Veteran's Day, November 12, 2012. He was born the sixth of 10 children to James and Lura Conant in Anna Illinois on August 22, 1929. A Purple Heart medal recipient of the Korean War, Joe moved to Los Angeles where he met and married Sonja 55 years ago.He is survived by his wife Sonja, his three children Linda, Ken and Carolyn, his Grandchildren Alex and Jacob and his three Sons in Law, Bob, Jim and Eric. He was so proud of his service to his country and we were so proud of him. The most patriotic person we have ever known, our true hero. A private family service is scheduled for Monday November 19, 2012 at the Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
