Kevin Andrew Doyle

Our brother, partner, father, and friend Kevin Doyle passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. A Marine veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan, Kevin died of service-related cancer that had spread throughout his body. He was 41. Always the life of the party and a consummate joker, the final letters he left for loved ones were full of his usual humor referencing the "ghost shit" he planned to do. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his fiancée, Talia Loggia of Calabasas, California, and his sister, Amanda Borowski of Winter Springs, Florida.

A citizen of Calabasas, Kevin previously worked in communications while serving in the Marines and the Coast Guard before settling in California and becoming a personal trainer and kickboxing instructor. He earned a black belt in several martial arts. His physical strength empowered him to fight cancer for several years, defying doctors' expectations many times. Kevin was happiest when spending time with his children, William (16) and Caitlyn (14), and his fiancée, Talia. He loved playing guitar, attending metal concerts, watching movies, souping up cars, hanging with dogs, and taking motorcycle trips up the PCH with his best friends and brothers.

A native of Orlando, Florida, Kevin was born August 7, 1985. After his time in the military, he earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from American Military University. He is preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Downing (Jerry), his maternal grandparents, and his dogs, Rascal and Bowser. He is survived by his son and daughter, William and Caitlyn Doyle of Palm Coast, Florida; father Steven Doyle (Stephanie) of Greensboro, North Carolina; stepfather Jerry Downing (Mary) of Coquina Key, Florida; brother-in-law Sean Borowski, niece Hazel Borowski, and nephew Finn Borowski, all of Winter Springs, Florida; step-brother Adam Doyle of Durham, North Carolina; step-sister Savannah Doyle of Greensboro, North Carolina; paternal grandparents Clarence and Barbara Doyle of Shelbyville, Kentucky; bonus mom Avery Flower of Acworth, Georgia; and bonus sister Sasha Martin of Camino, California.

In his final letter, he shared an apocryphal quote from Chief Tecumseh: "When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." Kevin closed with, "I'm just going home. Going on the last big adventure. Deuces, I'm out."
