Mary Ann Shiner, a resident of West Hills, California, passed away on August 31, 2026. She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on November 1, 1939, daughter of Helmer and Nellie Nordling. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Los Angeles Unified School District and was the Principal of Thomas Riley High School.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons, William F. Halfen and Jeffrey J. Halfen, of Chatsworth and Newbury Park, respectively, two daughters-in-law, Karen and Britta Marie Halfen, four grandchildren, Lynn, Kevin, Jason and Rebecka, and one great grandson, Jonah.
