

Richard Tirre, 85, born in Burbank, CA on October 2, 1932 and residing in West Hills, CA for the past 58 years has passed away from multiple diseases and gone to be with his Lord on March 27, 2018.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecilia and his children Linda, Janice and Eric.
Richard will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary (Torrontegui) Tirre, father Apolonio H. Tirre and his sister Alice T. Tirre.
Richard was hired by Flying Tiger Airlines on August 30, 1951. He was given a military leave of absence by Flying Tiger to serve in the United States Air Force for four years and then returned to work at Flying Tiger with his original hire date.
Richard joined the Air Force on August 3, 1954 and was assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico for training. He was deployed to the Air Force Base in Reykjavik, Iceland where he served as an aircraft radio mechanic and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. He received his Honorable Discharge on April 2, 1960.
Richard married Cecilia Audur Gudmundsdottir of Reykjavik, Iceland on May 26th, 1956 in Burbank, CA witnessed by Don and Herminia Witt.
He is survived by his wife Cecilia Audur (Gudmundsdottir) Tirre, his daughters Linda Marie D'Ascenzo and Janice Tirre Rhoades, his son Richard Eric Tirre and his wife Windy Tirre his sister Herminia T. Witt and her husband Don Witt, his grandchildren Jennifer Lynn D'Ascenzo, Chris D'Ascenzo, Anthony Eric D'Ascenzo, Erica Rhoades, Michael Rhoades. His Great grand children, Melissa Rhoades, Joseph Rhoades, Jason Rhoades, Walker James Ots. And his son in law John J. D'Ascenzo.
A funeral service in memory of Richard will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 7th at Shepherd Of The Valley Church located at 23838 Kittridge Street, West Hills, CA 91307, with pastor Rex Holt officiating. Both Richard and Cecilia are long time members of the church.
A memorial celebration of Richard's life will follow the service in the Founders Hall located at the church.
