Bob was a star doubles tennis player at Santa Monica College.  He served in the U S Army, stationed in Germany for most of his time.  Then after returning to Southern California i about 1968, he became a real estate appraiser for the Los Angeles County Assessor attaining the rank of "Senior Appraiser".  He spent his retirement years honing his pool skills, and he was very GOOD!
He was always a happy, and friendly person, and able to tell amusing stories whatever the occassion.  
 

An old Samohi (and later) buddy, chess and tennis partner, friends of the noted painter and sculptor France Borka, Dr. Joel Friedman, Barry Weigler etc. all the hale fellows well met from those halcyon days. Rest in peace, Bob.   Andrew Kempner, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
