I lived in Rosie’s little guest house from Sept 2003 until I moved out about two years later.  She was a tough cookie and had a young mind for her age. I still recall doing the yard work because she just didn’t want to and the trees that obscured the sun from the grass.  Rosie lived less than a mile from a good friend of mine and my mom had just passed so when I saw Rosie and I had matching rings, despite my reservations, I chose to rent the little house in back. 

I know Rosie suffered a lot in her life but she loved artwork and listening to jazz at Henri’s in Reseda.  I will remember her as an animal lover and sometimes a bit difficult but there was also a fire in her soul I connected to despite our different perspectives on life. I found this while researching my former addresses for something and I can’t imagine Beckford Avenue without her presence. 

I hope the burlesque and jazz is keeping your soul happy on the other side Rosie...
