
Stanton (Stan) Jeffrey Snyder passed away May 4, 2026 in Agoura Hills, CA at the age of 71. Stan is survived by his mother Gloria Snyder, sister Linda Merksamer and her husband Steve Merksamer, nephew Philip Merksamer and his wife, Kelly Johnson, niece Alissa Merksamer and her husband Rob Kaufman, great-nephew Max Kaufman, great-nieces Emilia Merksamer, Hazel Merksamer, Jenna Kaufman, and Sarafina Kaufman, and former wife Dominique Snyder. Stan was born May 14, 1954 in San Bernardino, California. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from UC Davis and a law degree from San Diego Law School. Stan worked for many years as a lawyer for the Department of Water and Power in Los Angeles and was an expert in these complex areas of law. His passions included ocean fishing, especially in Alaska and San Diego, raising standard poodles, working in dog shelters, and serving as a docent for the Palm Springs Air Museum. Stan was an accomplished Master bridge player, serving as Bridge Director in Ventura County. He also enjoyed day trading in the stock market and friendly poker games. Stan loved to send gourmet cakes and pies to his family and friends. Stan will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful man who lived with honesty and integrity. The family is grateful to Dominique Snyder, Gary Melik-Avakian, and Connie Raabe for their loving care of Stan.
